The product challenge
A learning app needs to make the first step clear and help people find their way back. A personal journal also needs understandable privacy boundaries without pressure from other users.
What we built
- Combined short lessons, practices and a journal in one mobile product.
- Separated the current step on Today from the chapter-based journey on the path screen.
- Provided on-device journal and progress storage, Russian and English, and light and dark themes.
- Created a website that introduces the interface, content and privacy conditions before installation.
Product decisions
Today as a starting point
The home screen offers a current lesson and a small action. It answers what to do now, while a separate path screen provides the wider context.
A journey rather than an endless catalogue
Content is organised into sequential chapters. Separating the current step from the overall journey makes the material easier to navigate without putting every lesson on the home screen.
A personal space
The product describes journal entries and progress as stored on the device, with no registration required. Its website explains these conditions alongside Russian and English support and light and dark themes.
The result
The result brings together a clear daily step and an overall chapter-based journey. Lessons, practices and journal entries complement one another, while the website introduces the experience before installation.
Planning a similar product
For a product people return to, distinguish what to do today from where they are overall. Explain personal data storage near the feature itself, as well as in the privacy policy.
